Restaurant Guide
At White Mountain Chalets, we understand that great food is a key part of your experience - both in our chalets and out on the slopes.
The charming mountain village of Saint Martin offers a variety of restaurants for guests to explore, each with its own unique atmosphere. And for those who love a scenic lunch spot with breathtaking views, we’ve got some top recommendations to make your midday refuel as enjoyable as the skiing itself.
In The Village
Lodji - Au Torè
Saint Martin’s centrally located luxury hotel has become a firm favourite with our guests when it comes to dining out. Lodji is located at the bottom of the Saint Martin Gondola and with their iconic bull statue sat right on the piste front, it would be hard to miss.
The restaurant is led by Chef, Jean-Sébastien Prijot, with a menu that offers a mixture of classic European and Asian inspired dishes. Even your little ones will have a selection of choices from their fantastic children’s menu. What’s more, if you don’t feel like sitting inside their beautiful restaurant, you can take full advantage of their south-west facing terrace, equipped with fire pits and blankets to keep you warm while you soak up the sun and stunning views of Saint Martin.
So, if you come for lunch, dinner or simply a drink to finish the day’s skiing, Au Torè offers up something for everyone with their family friendly atmosphere.
Le Montagnard
Think cosy, think rustic and think authentically French. Le Montagnard, once a farm stable, is poised above the ski piste and looks onto the iconic spire of the Saint Martin’s Church.
This charming restaurant, true to its roots, has a menu reflective of its origins. Le Montagnard serves up some fantastic French cuisine created by their chef Adrien Morle. Working with local farmers and market gardeners to provide the food for the impressive menu adds an extra special touch to each dish.
Those looking for a cheese fondue, a raclette or sensational bœuf confit, look no further. With some extra little touches like amuse bouche, this is a fantastic choice if you are celebrating something special or fancy spoiling yourself for the night.
The restaurant is decorated with a traditional style of a mountain stable and contemporary materials, fabrics and tableware and you may have an extra diner at your table with their teddy bear mascot.
Table du M Lodge
You’ll find La Table du M, at Saint Martin’s only five star hotel, M Lodge. You’ll be welcomed to a grand piano in their bar, where if you pick the right night, you’ll enjoy some wonderful live music. Beyond the impressive bar you’ll enter the beautiful restaurant with its warm and comforting décor and array of art to catch the eye.
La Table du M is led by Head Chef, Clément Hericotte, who has a professional background in renowned gourmet restaurants working alongside chefs Vincent Maillard, Jean-Luc Gabion, Philippe Colinet, Jacques Decoret. Serving up a menu with a focus on Mediterranean cuisine with South American and Asian influence, you’ll have a section of delicious dishes to pick from.
This isn’t your classic mountain side dining, so we encourage you to swap out the jeans and boots and pack something with a little more flair to match the restaurant interiors when dining at La Table du M.
On The Mountain
Le Corbeleys
As you ascend to the top of mountain, you’ll find Le Corbeleys. Traditionally, a mountain farm for more than 120 years, it is now an authentic restaurant located at the top of the Saint Martin 1 Gondola.
Honouring its history, the restaurant remains typically and traditionally French, with interiors and decorations that are reminders of the family heritage. It is homely, it is charming and Le Corberleys offers you a simple lunch, but one that is not short of taste. From hearty pasta dishes, salads with seasonal ingredients and irresistible Savoyarde cuisine, refueling never tasted so good.
When the sun is shining and temperatures are at the sweet spot, take to the terrace where you’re in with a good chance to see the multitude of birds that come to taste the rowan berries, red fruits of this tree, always present in Le Corbeleys.
Maya Altitude
One of Saint Martin’s newest mountain restaurants that opened in 2021, Maya is a colourful addition to Les Trois Vallées’ mountain summit eating options. With interiors that offer a sensory experience alongside their impressive menu, you know you’re in for a good time.
You’ll be dining at 2,300 meters, directly on the piste, with views that can’t be topped. Sitting inside the restaurant or on their expansive terrace with panoramic views, the food tastes just as good. Expect a high-end brasserie style menu, created by Chef Stéphane Desprez. While the focus remains on reimagined local Savoyard specialties, the menu also showcases two exceptional cooking techniques: the rich, smoky flavours of the charcoal grill and the distinctive heat of the tandoor oven.
We encourage you to make this a lunch time destination and one where you may want to block out your afternoon and settle in because Maya has just become your new aprés spot. From delicious food and wine to the entertainment from their resident DJ providing the perfect tunes to your alfresco dining experience. Rumour has it Chris Hemsworth was spotted at Maya earlier this year!
Chez Pépé Nicolas
Chez Pépé Nicolas, the sister restaurant to Le Montagnard, is located further up the Belleville Valley near Val Thorens.
A quintessential alpine restaurant where you’ll sit in sheep skin lined chairs surrounded by fir trees and foliage, you can’t help but feel you’re in a winter wonderland. If you’re lucky enough to grab a table on the terrace that looks onto the most spectacular mountainscape, the only thing that could top it is a glass of something delicious to soak it all up.
The menu again offers similar Savoyarde classics like Le Montagnard, so expect the cheesiest of cheese fondues, French onion soup and beef stew. Chez Pépé’s dishes are made using fresh produce from their own garden, their mountain pasture, their onsite trout pond, and their network of local producers.
The restaurant is easily accessible via their private shuttle, by car, on foot, or even on skis via the La Chasse piste in Les Menuires.. And if you have saved some space for a little shopping, the boutique located next to the restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
